As an independent agent appointed with Frontier General Insurance Agency, two varieties of a HO-A Homeowners Policy and a Texas Dwelling Policy Form 1 (TDP-1) are currently available from its affiliate, Wellington Insurance Company. In addition to the Wellington Value and Wellington Standard programs, Frontier General has partnered with an unaffiliated third party insurance company to secure authority for a preferred product tier. The preferred homeowners program and access to the federally supported flood insurance program are both scheduled for release in the fall of 2007.

All homeowners programs are written on a HO-A policy form which provides coverage for eight Named Perils (Fire and Lightning, Smoke, Windstorm/Hail, Explosion, Aircraft and Vehicles, Vandalism, Riot, and Theft). Coverage applies both to Dwelling and Contents. The TDP-1 policy offered covers the same named perils as the HO-A except Theft is not covered. Typically the TDP-1 policy is purchased to cover rental property. Additional perils offered in the Homeowners policy with the Limited Water Damage endorsement include the fall of trees or limbs, objects falling from the weight of ice, snow or sleet, collapse, and glass breakage on the Dwelling, all within the same sub-limit. Current homeowners programs do not provide windstorm, hurricane and hail coverage for property located in the Texas designated Tier-1 catastrophe area consisting of 14 coastal counties and a portion of Harris County on Galveston Bay. For risks located in these jurisdictions, coverage for these exposures is typically coordinated through the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association or private insurers.

As the product offering from Frontier General matures, look often for additional personal and commercial lines programs to become available at competitive rates and coverages.
